Efudex Cream
What is
Efudex?
Efudex is a
cream used by adults to treat skin
conditions on the face and front part of the scalp called
solar keratosis or actinic keratosis. Efudex is offered
in cream and liquid forms.
As a topical cream
or solution, a light coating is applied to the affected
skin lesions twice a day, treatment may persist over
numerous weeks.
Use non-metal
applicator or fingertips to smear
cream. Use caution when
applying cream or solution around the eyes, nose, and
mouth. Clean your hands immediately
after and before applying this
medication.
The quantity of
fluorouracil(cream) that you will receive depends on many
factors, such as the type of cancer or situation being
treated. Your physician will ascertain your dose and
schedule.
Cream - 30 gram
tube, Wash your hands
immediately after applying this medicine, unless they are
part of the treated area.
Store at Controlled Room
Temperature 20 to 25 C (68 to 77
F)
 Overdosage
While no specific information
is available on Efudex
overdosage,
any medication used in excess can have severe
consequences. If you suspect an overdosage, seek medical
attention immediately.
